The Anne Shear Fund: Supporting Dental Health in Our Community
Scholarships and support for those entering the dental field, in memory of Anne Shear.

About The Anne Shear Fund
The Anne Shear Fund is one of TWF's significant memorial funds. It exists primarily to provide scholarships for those interested in dental careers. Anne Shear started the Dental Department at the Chautauqua Center in 2015 and served as the Dental Director. Anne was a bright light to all her patients and her staff. She passed away unexpectedly in December of 2019. Dr. Shear's family, TCC, and TWF formed the fund in her honor to support those entering the dental field. This fund directly supports our commitment to improving access to care, specifically in the dental health space, for everyone in the communities we serve.
How It Helps
By providing scholarships for those seeking careers in a range of dental services, the Anne Shear Fund helps address critical needs in the Chautauqua County region, which is federally designated as medically underserved. These scholarships contribute to our overarching goal of creating a sustainable network of resources to improve quality of life outcomes by mitigating gaps in access and treatment in health and wellness.
Your support of The Waterfront Foundation, including contributions to funds like The Anne Shear Fund, directly impacts our ability to deliver comprehensive, high-quality patient-centered health and support services. We believe that by fostering connections and providing crucial resources, we can make our community healthier.
