Who We Are
Originally formed in 2019, TWF was established to raise and manage funds and properties that support the mission, services, and programs of The Chautauqua Center (TCC). While a separate legal entity, TWF works closely with TCC to address the significant medical demand and healthcare disparities facing underserved populations in a region that our federal government has designated as medically underserved.
Our committed staff and experienced Board of Directors are motivated by a deep understanding of community needs and a desire to make the community healthier.
We are a 501(c)(3) corporation dedicated to building healthier communities in the Chautauqua County region and surrounding Western New York areas.
What We Do
TWF's activities are multifaceted, focusing on bridging gaps in healthcare access and resources within Chautauqua County. We engage in fundraising that supports various costs related to medical and behavioral health and wellness. This includes:
Donations and Sponsorships
We raise monetary donations, donations-in-kind, and sponsorships to support the mission of The Chautauqua Center and TWF.
Community Events
We assist with and host events that support local communities and foster networks among regional community-based organizations.
Workforce Development
We support the recruitment and retention of medical providers to address the needs of underserved populations.
Scholarships and Memorials
We manage memorial funds and scholarships, and raise money to support the Ann Shear Fund for dental student scholarships, The Carol Kozlowski Fund for nursing students, and The Pam Marchincin Above & Beyond Fund to support patients.
Waterfront Wellness Program
The Waterfront Foundation is dedicated to building a strong, trusted, and valued culture. Through the Waterfront Wellness program, we are investing in the well-being of our healthcare professionals and community, while expanding opportunities for personal growth.
Support Services
We provide marketing, public relations, and advertising support services to inform our communities about the meaningful work done by TCC and TWF.
We recognize that no other organization in the region is aiming for the exact same goal as TWF, positioning us uniquely to address critical needs. We are actively expanding our partnerships with community-based organizations, local and regional businesses, donors, and benefactors to maximize resources and reach.
Our Mission
The Waterfront Foundations mission is "to support the mission of TCC", which is "to deliver comprehensive, high-quality patient-centered health and support services in the Chautauqua region. Our patient-centered service principles are access, treatment, education, and prevention delivered by friendly and professional clinic and administrative teams."
Our Vision
To create a sustainable network of resources to support the improvement quality of life outcomes within the communities we serve by fostering connections between local and regional businesses, organizations and benefactors to bridge and mitigate the gaps existing in access, treatment, education, and prevention in health and wellness in our region.
